A study in Seoul’s sound and spirit 🔊⚡️

A collaboration that celebrates the city’s enduring audio and hi-fi culture, the partnership between @kompaktrecordbar and @carharttwip launched with a nine-piece capsule collection and the premiere of Hi-Fi Seoul — a short documentary film and pop-up screening event hosted at Kompakt’s Seongsu location.

The film traces the sonic heart of Korea — Sewoon Plaza — home to the country’s oldest audio artisans and a new generation reviving vinyl pressing plants. Through Kompakt’s lens, Hi-Fi Seoul captures the obsessive pursuit of pure sound and the timeless culture surrounding it, where records, design, and community intersect.

What began as a small bar in Apgujeong with a lovingly tuned sound system has evolved into a cultural hub with four locations across Seoul — proof that listening remains an act of devotion.
