Born out of spontaneity, the brand draws from multiple facets of design and illustration, often translating Jacob’s painting practice, rooted in memory, music, and personal history. Through careful research of the past, A Construct takes on an aesthetic that resonates with the dynamic pulse of today.

Their Fall/Winter ‘26 collection, “Guidance,” pulls directly from the record crate. The name borrows from Jack Guidance Records, a label rooted in Jacob’s Jamaican heritage and his father’s influence. Drawing for the craft of “sampling” the collection is brought together in the same way a producer flips a track. It’s personal, transparent, and an invitation into the references that shaped its ethos.
